CHARLES SALZBERG has written for New York magazine, Esquire, GQ, Elle, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, The New York Times Arts and Leisure section, Travel & Leisure, and various other periodicals. He has written over twenty nonfiction books, including From Set Shot to Slam Dunk: The Glory Days of Basketball in the Words of Those Who Played It. His novel, Swann's Last Song, will be published in 2006. He has been a visiting professor of magazine at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, is a founding member of the New York Writers Workshop, and teaches writing at Sarah Lawrence College.
